Jenny started her 2005 racing season exactly like 2004's season, with a win at the I-70 Speedway season opener.  The season opened with a Super Saturday 100 Lap Late Model Special featuring the Late Models as the premier event.  This year, the Late Models will be run just once a month at I-70 Speedway, for a $2000 to win purse.  Tonight’s event drew 23 Late Models entries.

 After qualifying second with a time of 16.49, just four hundredths of a second behind Jeff Klem, Jenny trailed the pole sitter for the first 37 laps until Klem fell out of the race with mechanical problems.  She then went on to lead the remaining 63 laps of the 100 lap race, though the excitement wasn't over yet.  A yellow flag came out with 90 laps down tightening the field for an impressive 10 lap shootout.  Jenny's car developed a miss on this restart, but she was able to hold off the second place finisher, Jon Knoll, and the third place car of Tony Jackson Jr. to take the win.

All 2005 I-70 Speedway Super Saturday events will air a one hour program (tape delayed) on Metro Sports Television on Time Warner and Comcast. Air times and schedule will be posted on the message board as soon as they are announced.  Saturday night racing at I-70 Speedway can also be heard live on the radio at 610 AM.
